Project Status: Current
People Involved: Karen Fisher, Ariella Meltzer, Christiane Purcal, Rosemary Kayess
Research Areas: Disability
Funding Agency: Early Childhood Intervention Australia NSW / ACT

Early Childhood Intervention Australia NSW/ACT has commissioned the Social Policy Research Centre to conduct research into the delivery of early childhood intervention (ECI) services in the context of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) roll out in NSW. The research compares ECI in the newer NDIS site in the Nepean Blue Mountains (NBM) to that in the Hunter region, drawing on the experiences of ECI service providers and of wider community, mainstream and specialist support services. The research uses a combination of forums, telephone interviews with surveys and case studies to collect data, and is also informed by a reference group and literature review.
