Promoting Social Inclusion - The Wellbeing of Children in Australia and Internationally Workshop, 6-7 April 2011

Child wellbeing and family policy reform are high on the agenda in all OECD countries, reflecting longer-term policy interests in combating child poverty and social exclusion, and the more immediate impacts of the Global Financial Crisis, which is likely to have increased poverty at the same time as it has put pressure on government budgets. As governments come to address these fiscal challenges it is clear that tax-benefit reform, equity between different groups and promoting social inclusion remain key policy concerns. National Indigenous Policy and Dialogue Conference (NIPDC) 18-19 November, 2010
